PangaeaACDC Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Backed the game long ago, and yesterday I went to pick how to actually get it. Sadly there was only two options, so I had to go with the lesser evil of GOG. Redeemed the generated code, and noticed that there was only an icon for Windows for the game on GOG. I'm on Linux and am never going back to Windows, so this would obviously be a rather huge problem. Hopefully GOG have just ****ed up again, and it will actually come out for Linux (and Mac) there. Currently the game is filtered out when I sort by Linux-only games in my library. If this turns out to be a problem on release day, I hope Obsidian will let them know in no uncertain terms that this is completely unacceptable.
Boeroer Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 I have it both on Windows and Linux - via Steam. So I guess it's just a problem on the side of GoG. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
tinysalamander Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 (edited) Linux icons tend to disappear before release on GOG until they have it confirmed that Linux version is actually a thing. Well, GOG is weird like that. EDIT: Although you might want to check GOG support just in case. Edited May 6, 2018 by tinysalamander Pillars of Bugothas
Cthulchulain Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 "Downloader links" shows Win & Mac versions, but all three OS options are still prominently featured on the page for the non-backer version, so looks more like an inconsistency. 1
