dunehunter Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 (edited) For example, dagger modal Blade parrying is suppressed by Mirror Image and Warrior Stance. Rapier Needle Strike suppresses Warrior Stance and Zealot Acuracy. I'm ok if class abilities doesn't not stack with each other. But Imo Weapon Modal is a different source, it's a weapon style so it should stack with all these, otherwise there will be no points to activate them because they are all suppressed by different kind of in battle buff or class stance/auras. dunehunter Posted November 24, 2017 Author Posted November 24, 2017 Do you have a specific case in mind? Sorry just edited my post, take a look for case
KDubya Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 You should make a post in the Bug section on this. I agree that they should stack or else not much use for certain classes.

Yeah not sure if there are other cases, like the mace modal against these - armour rate spells, but I feel they might not stack as well. Well currently not sure if they are designed or bugged But I will post a bug on this.
FreeKaner Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Sounds like a leftover from the days of Pillars I where modals were more specific and were alternatives to class-modals. I think class-modals and weapon-modals should stack with each other but not with themselves.
dam Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Indeed the same situation existed in POE1. Example with Rogues : - Savage attack (general talent) - Reckless Assault (rogue class) The +20% damage from one suppressed the other, despite the fact that the 2 modals were in different action groups and could be activated at the same time. Not sure if intended or bug.
Boeroer Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 I think that was patched in later (no idea why). There used to be times when Savage Attack and Reckless Assault didn't suppress each other's dmg bonus (or so I remember). But here: a modal from a proficiency that is totally useless once you gain some special abilites is a problem in my opinion. 3 Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
dam Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Same problem also existed in POE1 with talents and items if I remember correctly. Steadfast (or was it the dragon's maw shield) granting immunity to fear vs fighter talent to have immunity to fear. Just means we'll have to plan accordingly.
hilfazer Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 I warned them but they didn't read! https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91578-weapon-proficiencies-may-not-work-well/?hl=proficiencies 2 Vancian =/= per rest.
