As another data point: I'm not seeing the crash that lew21 is above. My system details: DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=16.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=xenial DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS" No crashes so far (up to the char creation screen) with installer "pillars_of_eternity_ii_deadfire_en_0_0_0_0021_backer_beta_release_2_0886_bb_17293.sh" Props for making it available.

Unity technically only supports Ubuntu - but with that said, it doesn't look like it's a Unity issue. Based on the callstack, it could be a problem with the SDL library that we have included, which is used by our third party middle ware package.
