Omnion Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 So its been almost 2 years, and yet not a single cRPG has even been announced. Are there even still plans to make any, or is oblivion sticking to just card games.
jumpthegun Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I don't think they see the money in making a Pathfinder CRPG, plus they risk over saturating the market with the same copy and paste games with Pillars, Pillars 2, Tyranny, Torment (not obsidian)
Omnion Posted May 5, 2017 Author Posted May 5, 2017 then there was no reason to do a paizo partnership in the first place, all the pathfinder fan want a pf crpg, if they don't get one, mind as well cancel the partnership
jumpthegun Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Apparently it's here: https://owlcatgames.com/ looks really unimpressive though... and knowing my.com.. I wouldn't be surprised if this just becomes another Pathfinder Online mess. 1
Ethics Gradient Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Paizo has a brief description of the Kingmaker Adventure Path on their website. Certainly could be a interesting game. Here's hoping for the best.
Potemkin Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 I would have prefered a Pathfinder CRPG from Obsidian 1
Omnion Posted May 26, 2017 Author Posted May 26, 2017 ok, first off YAAAAAAY CRPG IN PATHFINDER, secondly, WHY ISNT OBSIDIAN DOING IT, THEY GOT THE PARTNERSHIP, AND THIS IS WHAT ANYNE WHO ACTUALLY PLAYS PATHFINDER WANTED, NOT A SILLY MOBILE GAME FOR CASUALS.
Hannibal_PJV Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Well, first of all I personally would not be interested in Pathfinder rpg, I am more interested to see how Pillars of Earth 2 will do. And am more interested in "silly mobile game" It is matter of taste and resources. There Are so Many good rpg games around that I have not time to play them all, but there Are very few good light mobile games that Are interesting and offer some rpg feeling. And at this moment Obsidian does not have work force to do both Pillars and Pathfinder. Maybe when Pillars 2 have been done They will start Pathfinder rpg, who knows. It depends on do They have rights to rpg Also or only to the Pathfinders adventures. I supose that They only have that lisence. Otherwice we most propably would be waiting pathfinder rpg instead of Pillars 2. IMHO
ShadySands Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 I could definitely go for a Starfinder (thanks to Gromnir for that) game since that'd be something different Free games updated 3/4/21

He arranged a meeting with who would be Owlcat at GenCon 2016. They presented a "vertical slice" demo in March for Paizo to play. Paizo staff is super excited, especially with how the flavour of Golarion comes through. Seemed like mostly positive news, or am I missing something? You can use the 'Mark Solved' button beneath a post that answers your topic or confirms it's not a bug. Omnion Posted June 9, 2017 Author Posted June 9, 2017 I hope this turns out well, but obsidian dropped the ball they could have made a platform for pathfinder Crpgs, then eventually released the modules for every adventure path and made bank. I hope this games turns out well (and more classes are added, i rly want to be a magus), and that it again turns int a platform to allow for more APs. Imagine being able to buy say...kingmaker or rise of the runelords for like 60 bucks, maybe more, and every year or few years a new AP gets added as a campaign at somewhere between 20-60 dollars. all the classes from pf get added eventually. You know it would sell and be a primary money maker for years 1
