In all seriousness, If the Black Isle Bastards are literal noble bastards, they should be opposed by a crew composed of noble heirs younger siblings who are hunting down the Bastards to try and prove their worth to their families--but who are spectacularly incompetent at doing so.

Or maybe their own fathers?  The Black Isle Fathers, or BIFs...

Of course that is sexist, who says it was the fathers who were the nobles?  Maybe it should be the BIMs instead!

That's why I suggested the White Mainland Legitimates. ;)

Yeah, but have you ever heard of the trope "unintended implications"? ;)

That's the best part of it: funny AND controversial.  :dancing:

At least the BIBs are cool - so the WMLs should be total douchebags.

alternative: wives and husbands.

the bib claim to be the target o' The Queen's Justice-- an elite cadre o' officers o' the law special formed and empowered by the crown to bring the bastards to heel.  in actuality, the queen's justice is the spouses o' the bastards.  exhausted by the time and money the bastards has wasted on their "role-play hobby" o' being pirates, the queen's justice set out to bring their spouses home where the bastards actual has successful middle-class jobs as accountants, merchants, and whatever is the renaissance-era equivalent o' IT guys.

ultimate enemy o' any pretend computer game pirate is gonna be the spouse o' the pirates.

And then the one guy with no real job and no spouse who constantly sits back watching the altercations drinking a beer and going "What? Ain't my fault."

The White Coast Wardens of course, they've been trying to catch that crew for more than a decade you know.

It is human nature to seek culpability in a time of tragedy. It is a sign of strength to cry out against fate, rather than to bow one’s head and succumb. Inevitably many will fault the hands upon the sword which felled Typhon, the Ordo Malleus. But the Inquisition merely performs the duty of its office. To further fear them is redundant; to hate them, heretical. Those more sensible will place responsibility with those who forced the hands of the Inquisition. With some fortune, they may foster this hatred into purpose, and further rule their own fate by coming to the Emperor’s service.

Yet ultimately, it was I who set these events into motion, with a single blow from my hammer, God Splitter.

-Gabriel Angelos, of the Blood Ravens 4th Company
