I think there are two statements being conflated into one.

 

They've said they are aware of the feat problem in Quest mode and are working on a fix (which didn't get tested before the holidays so did not go into the patch that rolled out after the most recent update).  That is in this thread.

 

In a recent blog entry, they did indicate they weren't putting additional development time into Quest mode until Story mode is completed.  At which point they will put their resources towards Quest mode and determine what they want to do with it.  This was said in relation to how slow the development had went previously in adding the existing game scenarios to the app because they were in essence trying to update two different versions of the game at the same time and how the last two Story mode chapters had been added quicker because they had worked primarily on Story mode.

 

I do not believe that the second statement is meant to take that they will not fix bugs on Quest mode as I doubt they want to release a product with a indefinitely broken aspect (if that was the case, they'd more likely put some time in removing Quest mode entirely and reintroducing it later, I'd think).

Quest mode is not official Paizo game, so it is something extra that developers think would be neat to have. They have a Great plans for it, but we can not blame them if They remove from the game something that does not belong to it originally.

That said, I Also personally like quest mode more than Story mode IMHO. But leaving it of does not take away the original game that was the goal of this project.

Hopefully They will release the quest mode later as a separate game, if it get hacked off this time. I would buy it without hesitation!

AD6.1 in story mode also gives an extra card feat.
They can fix that as well and hopefully add a way to fix all characters who don't have the right amount of feats for their level/progression.

Got a mail from Obsidian tech support on this issue.

They state that they are not supporting quest mode, and going back to the drawing board on the matter.

Seems they aren't going to fix this Quest-stopping-bug soon.

Same case. I believe it might've been because some characters earned a card feat when they weren't supposed to so when they reached a certain level milestone, they had no card feats left to earn.

Yes, this is a known issue in quest mode. The Devs mentioned they have worked on a fix but wasn't able to add it into the last patch.

Hmm, they mentioned that they were working on a fix for this, however, in the bug fixes. I hope this doesn't mean they'd totally abandon it.

Hi i got a bug where i get the card tier 1 and 2 reward everytime i finsish a quest and now i cant play anymore because my chars have the mac on card.

 

Pls help me


The short version is there was a fix not tested before the last patch, but also Obsidian is not currently actively supporting quest mode at least until story mode is complete and fixed.

Same problem here though my characters get card feats instead of power feats ... also this happened for 4 out of 6 characters in the party : valeros,ezren,kyra,seoni are maxed out on their card feats when on the other hand lem and harsk did not max out although got some of the same " benefit " until 2-3 lvls ago ( current party members are all 18 , lem and harsk stopped getting multiple card feats at level 14-16 - i cannot remember exaclty when - ) .

My guys are stuck at level 20. The card list is maxed out when I don't think it should be causing me to be unable to progress. iPhone 6

I too am having this issue at level 17 with my fighter in quest mode. I am stuck in level completion. I can increase my wizard and cleric card collection, but my fighter does not have a slot available to increase, but the game will not allow me to finish until I do.

Unfortunately, this is a known issue and breaks Quest Mode. Every level gain after ten, Characters incorrectly gain a Card Feat, which maxes out their Card Feats way too quickly and breaks character progression. The devs have stated that Quest Mode has been put on the back burner for the foreseeable future (and may be eliminated completely). Personally, I am incredibly disappointed in this development. I purchased the bundle on day one and have put hundreds of hours into the game, the vast majority in Quest Mode. As someone said earlier, "I came for Story Mode, but stayed for Quest Mode." If Obsidian at least fixed the Card Feat issue for Quest Mode and did nothing else for that mode, I could live with that. At one point in development for Pathfinder Adventures, the devs had big plans for Quest Mode. I really hope they revisit those plans once they iron out the more pressing issues. Sorry for rambling, but I love this game and Quest Mode in particular.

I am having the same trouble. How do I get it to stop? Or is it stuck ?

Pretty sure we are all stuck. I'm just doing other things until a patch comes out to fix it. Not really want to spend time finding a workaround or testing it until a new version comes out. 

We have a fix for this, it is currently in testing and will be out for the next patch.
