Ambushed undefeated effect stacks repeatedly

Kyra encountered Ambush while in the Woods during legendary Here Comes the Flood and failed to defeat it. She had to face off against the Sneak. When I switched to other characters to see what they could offer for assistance, the negative count for rolling dice incremented by one each time I clicked a portrait, and then when I actually rolled the dice it increased again.

I'm playing on a Huawei Nexus 6P running Android 6.0.1 and my wildcards are Impending Doom and Driving Rain.

No, I was not successful.  I don't recall what my actual roll totaled to either.  I ended up with 0 after accounting for the negative 20+ it had jumped to.
