Just finished base game, bought both DLC's and can't start them

Someone told me in Steam, to go talk to my steward, but the only 2 saves I have, I'm already in the "End Game" pit, and can't get back out.

Welcome to the forums and thanks for joining us! If you load up your PREENDGAME.SAVE you will be able to continue on with your journey from right before you entered the pit.

Thanks for the response, but "like I stated", I have NO PREEND GAME save. The only saves I have, I'm in the pit already

Then, unfortunately there isn't much you can do without cheating. You can use the console command to teleport out of the dungeon, but you will not have access to your stronghold for the remainder of the game. 

 

If you want, you can start a new game and play on Story Time Mode to zoom past Act 1. The White March unlocks after you reach the Temple of Woedica in Act 2 and you can change the difficulty to whatever you like and go to The White March.

Who could I contact to inquire about a refund? (Replaying the first game I just don't care to do, and If using a console cheat makes my stronghold void, I'm not interested in that either).

Doesn't Steam now offer refunds for any reason within a certain period of time? Maybe you can try that route?

 

And wait, now using the console breaks the stronghold in addition to achievements? Is that another layer of punishment or a weird glitch?

Sorry for the confusion. I meant to say, since that he is already down in Sun in Shadows, the Stronghold is disable. If he used cheat to get out of the pit, there would be no way to access the Stronghold because the game thinks he is at the end of the game.
