February 8, 201610 yr I'm thinking about a new start with a chanter tank. I heard a rumour about phrases being accelerated later on. Is this acceleration dex based? Or in other word: Does a chanter tank need dex now?
February 8, 201610 yr No, chant speed is increased via a passive ability called Brisk Recitation. For the tank build you can easily dump Dex to 3, and use scrolls, chants, and invocations for most of your damage. Edit: the chanter doesn't have to spec for Brisk Recitation. I think you first get it at level 4 and it scales as you level. I think it decreases chant time by 40% in the end. Edited February 8, 201610 yr by Ganrich

February 8, 201610 yr Yeah. That's what makes chanters such awesome tanks. Unlike some classes (cough, looking at you fighter), they can tank while also bringing a lot of utility to their party.
