September 4, 201510 yr Hey - is it just me or are the enchantments for quality (fine, except., superb) not working? When I put on a fine piece of armour, the character sheet only shows the basic DR. Is this bug related to the accuracy bug (character sheet not showing the correct acc from enchantments)? Sorry, but patch 2.01 is a horrible, bug infested piece of cake. Who put that out? Seriously... Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
September 4, 201510 yr I think they have done a great job throughout this game but I have to agree that 2.01 is really bad. Have gun will travel.
September 4, 201510 yr Yes. Its particulary a bad thing with the effect : ONE bug is destroy, TWO more bug appear. Result : The people wait the patch 2.02. Its bad thing. Obsidian : The beta test of the new patch must be more longer... : (

September 5, 201510 yr Author Sometimes it shows the bonus, sometimes not. It depends on the item - I think it works if you enchant item by yourself and it doesn't work if you just looted the enchanted item (not 100% sure though). It is the same behaviour as with the accuracy not displayed correctly. Maybe it's the same bug. Edited September 5, 201510 yr by Boeroer Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
September 5, 201510 yr If it's the same bug then it's only cosmetic. All accuracy modifiers are applied correctly in combat (and properly restored afterwards), they just don't show up on the character sheet. Has anyone looked at the combat logs when wearing enchanted armours?
September 6, 201510 yr "Proofing" armour has been broken since beta 2.0, and nothing between then and now (2.01) has fixed it. For instance, Eder's Saint's War armour is +3 piercing and base DR of 7 (6 for piercing), for a cumulative effect of +9. This registers properly. Enchanting it to Fine, adding a base +2 adds +2 across the board but now either ignores Proof: Piercing or doesn't stack them.

Enchanting it to Fine, adding a base +2 adds +2 across the board but now either ignores Proof: Piercing or doesn't stack them. I think you've got your math mixed up there. Scale armor has a base DR of 7, and its Pierce DR is 75% of that. 7 * 0.75 = 5.25, rounded down to 5 by the UI. Edér's armor is Pierce-proof, which means its Pierce DR is (7+3) * 0.75 = 7.5, rounded up to 8 by the UI. When you enchant it to Fine, its base DR becomes 9 and its Pierce DR becomes (9+3) * 0.75 = 9. Works perfectly fine for me as of 2.0. "Time is not your enemy. Whatever the case, Piercing didn't improve after enchanting Eder's Saint's War armour with Fine; it remained the same as it was pre-enchantment, which is a bug.
September 7, 201510 yr Do when you enchant it to Fine your Pierce DR is still 8? Might be yet another thing 2.01 broke. I'm all the happier to have skipped it. "Time is not your enemy. September 10, 201510 yr Hello everyone, I did some poking around with my personal save and I found no issues with Armor quality not being applied. The enchant should be incorporated into the armors description, tooltip and character sheet. I also checked the combat logs and the DR was correctly being calculated. Here is an example: Normal Plate Armor - DR 12 Fine Plate Armor - DR 14 Exceptional Plate Armor - DR 16 Superb Plate Armor - DR 18 If that is not the case, could someone please upload a save file, screenshot, and an output log via dropbox so I can take a look?
