Hi Borticus and everyone,

It happens  to me sometihing similar since yesterday (May 18th).

I purchased the game from Steam one month ago, and I've played (14hours) without problems.

One week ago, it happened exactly in the same way, but the problem solved itself in the next day (may be with and automatic steam upload, I guess...), so I didn't care at that time.

DESCRIPTION:

When I try to start the game, It simply doesn't load:

- First: a Steam window appears "preparing to start Pillars of Eternity..."

- Two seconds later, a small windows appears with this message:

"Oops!

The game crashed.

The crash report folder named "2015-05-19_001010" next to game executable.

It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!"

From the output_log.txt archive generated:

"Initialize engine version: 4.6.1p2 (961a19933c56)

Hey guys,

Sorry that your having this crash issue. Are you guys login as administers (info: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72049-workarounds-for-several-known-issues-4-07-15/ )? Try this and if you haven't done so, try verifying the integrity of the game: Right-click > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache. Post here and I'll check back in.

Got a bug :cat:?? Help us squish it!

  • In your report Include your *save file* (C:\Users\YourNameHere\Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity) and ...
