nemesis205bw Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Can someone list all watcher abilities gained thro this game?
nemesis205bw Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 Atleast tell me if there are some spells more fit for squishy casters. The ones I have require melee range.
Kaldurenik Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Umh Crucible of the Soul - Short range , self target aoe, drain life from enemies within range Dominion of the sleepers - Self, increase attributes Speaker to the restless - Long range, self target aoe, fear debuff on enemies within range Steps to the Wheel - Long range, self target aoe, paralyze / sicken on enemies within range No idea if there are any more types of abilities if you make other choices within the story. Overall the range is large for some of these, mainly due to my character having high int giving the effects even further range.
Lasci Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 They're all per rest and not exactly stellar. I don't think I've ever wanted to use them on my druid.
nemesis205bw Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 So there is no point in using any of them on ranged cipher? Its always better to cast focus based spells or aa to generate focus. 1
blindhamster Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I use the first two you get on my melee cipher reasonably often
nemesis205bw Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Do you also get any unique watcher passives?
Dastion Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 These abilities are one reason I really like Chanter as a PC. I find Kana slightly annoying and he has the skeleton summon instead of the Phantom (Phantoms sneak attack, stun, deal freeze damage, and are decently tanks). Plus - as a Chanter, I don't have other abilities to contend with, so I keep a decent lore score and use scrolls, summoning figurines, or watcher abilities in tough fights. However, on say a Cipher these wouldn't be near as useful since you'd rather be building focusing or using it.
Lasci Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Do you also get any unique watcher passives? Yes, but they're not so much 'Watcher passives' as 'main character passives' that come from the progression of the story and the choices you make.

I'm still playing 1.02 and there it is 2x per rest and short range aoe.

Ineth Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 So there is no point in using any of them on ranged cipher? Its always better to cast focus based spells or aa to generate focus. Even ranged ciphers get swarmed by enemies sometimes. "Some ideas are so stupid that only an intellectual could believe them." -- attributed to George Orwell
waveman Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 while I used liked all of the passives found (second skin, scale breaker etc) I rarely, if ever used any of the Watcher abilities. 1
Crucis Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I don't think that I've ever used any of the Watcher special abilities, though I can see Dastion's point above that they may be more useful for someone like a Chanter than, say, a Cipher.
Tennisgolfboll Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 The boost to stats is good as is the fear one. Nothing great but its something atleast. The boost to stats should have been +10
cavemandiary Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 They are alright on some of the classes that do not have a lot of activated abilities (i.e chanter, fighter, rogue) but I couldn´t imagine using them on any of the caster classes. There´s just too much else to do, that´s better.
