Guest Arjuna
Hi folks, since i've seen the Deadfire-Archipelago raider background i desperately want to create and rp some kind of pirate/buccaneer type of character, but I sort of feel like i don't know how to pull it off properly, so any input would be appreciated... I was thinking rogue or maybe even barb for class, dual wielding the ruffian weapon set (sabres, pistols), but from what i've experienced in the game so far (20h in) i hardly believe that this could be viable, for i find the rogue super-squishy... thanks in advance
jones092201@gmail.com
I'm using this set up. My damage is massive, but I am a bit squishy- if you start out with the blunderbuss/pistol, then flank, you can stay up.
jones092201@gmail.com
Also, around level 5, I am starting to feel the low deflection.

Guest Arjuna
Ok thank you, but the attribute distribution doesn't seem to be relevant anymore since the video is showing a beta build and the guy is talking about dexterity not working properly at the given time, so... ... can anyone provide a viable attribute distribution? and: is it true, that dexterity is useless for gunslingers (which would be absolutely ridiculous)? does int affect the spread of the blunderbuss shots? Lasci
Max might and dexterity. Guns are, unfortunately, very, very slow and take a long time to reload. If you're deadset on playing a gunslinger rogue, I would open up with a blunderbuss shot from stealth before swapping to a pistol and using that. Alternatively, you can do a dual-wielding or one-handed melee build, while still opening up every fight with that sneak attack blunderbuss.
