There is a empty white box which serves as a placeholder. It would be like the retail version except its no-drm (rather than being linked to steam).

Looks awesome! Really wish I had gotten one so I could put it next to my boxed copies of all the IE games

Mine still says pending for shipping status, knowing now that the discs are not even going to be included when they ship the collector's edition, I better find a way to break it lightly to my friend who wants to play the game. It'll probably be another week or two before he gets a copy.

I believe that's the plan. They did it this way so backers could get their rewards on (or near) release day.

Hi, Byeohazard - does the box have a big space at the bottom that would fit the Guidebook which came with the OP's $250 tier? (Assuming you're a lower non-signed tier like myself.)

I chose the 140.00 tier and have not broken the shrink wrap yet. I Imagine it would have the spacer in it for the discs that will be coming later. That art book and signed box at the 250.00 tier sure looks nice (grats ryukenden)! but I am really happy with the 140.00 tier. STuff is pretty loose in the box..I can hear stuff slide around by tipping the box.

The guidebook (I called it artbook) is the same size as the CE box. 

That is so sweet! Very jealous. Were I able I would've liked to back at a higher tier but I'm still glad to have been a part of contributing to this great game. That T-Shirt and other goodies look great.

Didn't realise that the Guidebook was a smaller form factor than other Dark Horse videogame publications (at least the books I own - Art of Mass Effect and World of Thedas). I like that. Might have to pick it up... especially if it fits in the box so nicely!!
