It's 93 on Metacritic now!

After the "metacritic bonus" debacle of F:NV, I'd say this is a sweet -if slightly belated- revenge. May it be the start of something better and greater for Obsidian, who really deserve this success! :D

Big praise to the mighty Obsidian, one of my favorite game developers, they wanted to make a stellar game and they've pulled it off once again.

 

These great reviews and high scores fill me with joy honestly.

Neck and neck with Bloodborne, nice to see.

Polygon, Gamespot, IGN, Giant Bomb and a number of high-profile gaming review sites have yet to release their scores so there's still hope it will cruise past Bloodborne.

Couldn't have hoped for a better reception thus far. I hope the guys at Obsidian are just spending the day partying. Take a break, dudes.

Still holding at 93, some of the users reviews are so dumb. Anyone that thinks the game deserves a zero didn't play it longer than 5min, and if they did they are seriously butt-hurt individuals to not see the love and care that went into this game.

Metacritic and Gamerankings down to 90% now, just waiting on Polygon to give the game a glowing review. 9.5 I'm calling it

I don't mind the game getting an 8 score, but I mind the reasoning. Too much long-winded dialogue text? And he says ps:t is the best game ever? I know taste differs, but it seem an odd critique. Especially when he concludes the review with" Pillars of Eternity effortlessly ensnares you,".

I think his complaint wasn't that there was too much writing, but that it was unecessarily verbose for what it was trying to get across. I disagree but there you have it.

 

I really hope the game doesn't fall below 90% for aggregate scores. There is definitely a perception difference between 89% and 90% that will affect future sales.
