CAVS are favored to win it all.  But at 3-2 to win the championship, those are terrible odds to take.

The Warriors, with an over/under at 50.5 and 12-1 to take the West, the smart VEGAS bet would be taking the over and putting them down on making the Finals. 12 -1?? I'd have to turn in my Degenerate Gambler Members Only card not to take them odds.

...These were calculated before the news about Durant missing 6-8 weeks due to a broken foot.

They won't cut down from an 82 game season. Don't see ownership willing to give up game revenue. And 48 minutes is neither too long nor is the game itself too slow. The game has definitely improved since the '94-'04 deadball era.

On another note, Bill and Jalen are back!

That Simmons suspension was just silly. Caused a delay on the release of these videos.

So, is Steve Nash's career over?  For those that don't know, he's done for the season with back problems.  I mean, why come back if you're him?  What's the point?  He's already a multi-time league MVP.  He's not winning a championship in LA.  Why go through all the trouble to come back?  For what?

One of the most overrated players of all time. Too bad about the injury but the guy has two underserved MVPs, and absolutely no championships, often has a bad attitude, poor work ethic, and is simply a non winner.

I'll always like Nash for the reason that he was an integral part of one of the most entertaining teams I've ever seen, the 7 Seconds Or Less Suns.  They may not have won any titles, but they sure were tons of fun to watch.

They were a boring above average fake champion contenders. Seriously, Nash is not as good as people claim he is. MVP over O'Neal. LMAO

Why would Shaq deserve it more than Nash in 05?

The MVP is a regular season award and Nash was the best player on the best regular season team in the league. Phoenix won 62 games in a clearly tougher Western Conference compared to Shaq's Heat that won 59 games in the East.

Yes, Nash is done. I don't think he'll miss the entire season and try to come back at 41 next year

In fact the Lakers are done. They need to start focusing on the future because Kobe is out of his prime and not many people want to play along side him anyway

Yes, he was. Not even a contest. Nash wasn't even MVP of his own team. Nash is extrenely overrated but he gets away with it ebcause he is a 'nice white Kanadian boy' despite he has accomplished nothing that in the way of winning.  Someone like Carmelo Anthony gets trashed because he doesn't win but Nash gets away with it despite Anthony being the better player and has done nothing wrong either.

Nash and his supporters are hypocrites. They're probably the same people who bash others for not 'wining the big one' yet let Nash sldie by. Nash hasd one nothing but sit on the becnh for the last 2+ seasons. He is one of the BIG reasons why the Lakers have been a joke.Pathetic.

Still, it can't be denied that he was the focal point for the #1 rated offenses (based on pts per 100 possessions) over a 10 year span from his Mavericks to Suns years and he made players around him more productive.

Can't speak for others but I don't take the number of rings a player has won as a major barometer of how good a player was. That being said, you're right though, Nash is overrated in some circles - but Shaq didn't deserve to win the 05 MVP over Nash either.

Big difference between Nash and Anthony. Carmelo gets the hate because he's an incessant chucker who hasn't played in very many good teams throughout his career. Nash has played in numerous contending teams that fell short of the finals.

Ironically though, Nash is pretty selfish. Don Nelson called him the best player he ever coached but would get on him to actually take more shots. But he refuses in order to protect his shooting percentages.

For a career .428 3pt%, he only averaged 3.2 trey attempts per game over his career. Which was a big reason why he had so many 50-40-90 seasons.

No denying BNash is a very good player but as long as he has two MVp trophies on his mantle and too many people giving him blow jobs he wikll always be overrated. I just read an article stating that he was the 'most influential player' of his era. LMAO

Dammit. Vegas got wise and now the Warriors are 6 to 1 to win the West. I liked it better when it was 12 to 1. Shouldn't have procrastinated with the bookie.

Is it ok to not hate the Heat now? I just don't have the energy. Besides I'm too busy hating the Spurs & Thunder.

The Grizz got a win last night against the T-Wolves. I didn't see any of it because there was this baseball game on. I predicting a 50-55 win season and maybe a 2nd round playoff exit. But you never know. This is a team that the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts.

It is hard to hate the Spurs. They are a bunch of elderly guys winning on wisdom and cageyness. Plus they pass the ball like artists painting a canvass.

Divine 'a  bunch'? Their Finals MVP is a young guy.

Russell Westbrook out 4-6 weeks with a broken finger. Not the most auspicious start for OKC.

Karma paying Clayton Bennett and Sam Presti back for being cheapskates and wasting several years of having 2 of the top 10 players in the league in their primes.  They got rid of Harden because they didn't want to pay the luxury tax (ironically, shortly after that the cap changed so they could have afforded to pay him and still not go into the tax) and they repeatedly either made no moves or settled for cheap bottom of the barrel guys rather than paying a higher tier guy and going into the tax to make a push for the title.  Their reward is likely going to be zero titles and getting to watch both KD and Russ leave for greener pastures when their contracts are up, which is very soon (why would either of those guys want to stay and play for cheapskates?).

Rose sprained his ankle in the last game.  It's not (thought to be at this time) a serious injury and he'll likely only miss a couple games, but this had to have made Bulls fans, who were likely already walking on pins and needles, all the more nervous.  It's been a horrible year for superstar injuries so far, and the season just started.

CLE is not gonna win anything.  The two games just back up my theory that they have been overrated.  James has a bad game and they lose to a crap team. He has a great game and they beat a top team. It's not a coincidence.

Cleveland is top heavy with a weak bench. Aside from Lebron and an aging Shawn Marion they don't have quality defenders and absolutely no rim protection. Still good enough for a top two seed in the East.
