Character creation: Move culture before stats

Featured Replies

As it is, you assign your stat points, then you get on to culture... which affects stat points. Culture should come before stats if it affects stats!

Agreed

Thanks for the input, Headbomb. It's a solid suggestion and has been passed on to the development team.

I'm bumping this because this is still an issue in the current build.

Still an issue. :(

I told them this like 5 months ago, and they didn't fix anything then either.

Culture needs to come before Attributes. Portrait needs to come before Appearance Customization. I think it's because they've settled on the character creation interface, and if they changed this stuff the tabs wouldn't go in order(Attributes are in the center, culture is to the right).

To be honest, it should go sex-->class-->culture&background-->attributes-->skills.

Then at least we will also see how the attributes influence skills. And attributes are not selected before a culture bonus is added.

Bumped for truth.

Yeah, Veevoir's idea seems solid, probably too late for release at this point though.

Every single time I create a character I have to backtrack.

But this was reported day 1 of the original beta.  Very unlikely to be changed at this point.
