BruceVC
Hello all So that time of celebration and hopefully good times beckons. What are your plans for Xmas? Are you going away and what do you normally eat for the traditional Xmas lunch/supper? I'm flying to the coast tomorrow to see my family, we will be having Xmas at our beach cottage with our cousins. As usual it will be a time of loads of good food, laughs and lots of alcohol We normally eat turkey, lamb and gammon. So what you doing? 1 "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Rosbjerg
A buddy and 2 girls are coming over, then we go out and party with all the other freaks on Christmas eve. Then spending most of the christmas days with the gf and friends. We'll be having duck, ricepudding, sugar fried potatoes, a brown sauce (traditional Danish) and rice a'alamande with cherry sauce for desert It's delicious, it's rice with cream, almonds.. Very sweet and very fatty 1 Fortune favors the bald.
Guard Dog
Spending Christmas with Lady GD & a rambunctious Rhodesian Ridgeback in a cabin in Gatlinburg. The view is incredible and there might be plenty of snow. Good snow, not that nasty gray stuff that we get here. We were supposed to leave last night but get held up to today. 1 "While it is true you learn with age, the down side is what you often learn is what a damn fool you were before" Thomas Sowell

LadyCrimson
Bah humbug. ...the usual family gathering thing, but mostly a whole lot of sloughing off. Hubs will have a lot of days of (official) time off so we'll likely catch up on movies, play a lot of games, cuddle in bed now and again, and eat lots of Rice-a-Roni. Ok, I'm joking on the last one. “Things are as they are. Hurlshort
So my Christmas plans have been way simpler since one side of my family cut off contact. It was a bit weird last year, but this year I'm actually enjoying the fact I don't have to travel. We also take the money we don't spend on gifts for that side and buy presents for families in need, and that is enjoyable. I did most of my shopping on Amazon this year. We will be having dinner with my wife's family on Christmas Eve, and then hosting them for a Christmas day brunch.
