2014 is pretty vague. Could we nail that down? And for god sake if you guys delay this game for more stretch goals I'll burn your office to the ground. Ok maybe not, but I think I'll be asking for a refund in that case. Let's just get the main game out the door, ok? Save the stretch goals for a sequel or proper expansion/DLC.

All it says is "Coming in 2014" at that link.

It's under Pledge Now

And somewhere else, the newsletter or the video, can't remember, they mentionned it was to be at the end of 2014. So, Winter 2014 is quite right.

I thought it will release on April 2014 , but Winter 2014 is pretty early it seems . When beta is coming ? January ?

The year both starts and ends in winter though. I'm suspecting they're aiming at nov/dec next year, I mean what games do you know that were released ahead of schedule (on the KS campaign the release date was Apr 2014 I think?).

I guess it will be end of 2014, but it is ok with me - more time to fnish unplayed games in my steam library :D

I think april 2014 was mentioned in the initially kickstarter project setup. I rather have them take their time and deliver a polished product. Winter 2014 means they still have almost a year to go, seems like a solid timeframe :).

Apr 2014 was for the initial game without stretch goals. Since having all the stretch goals of extra classes, races, big cities, etc, it's been pushed back at least 6 months for all that extra stuff which does make sense imo.

Also don't forget, Wasteland 2 Beta is coming soon, so more time to play WL2 before PE :)

Hey folks new poster long time follower since that big party last year..Im ok with winter next yr..Although a ton of games will be out ill still enjoy project eternity yes I no its got a new title..Ive backed quit a few kickstarter games..So im ok with it..As the poster said above me I also pledged wasteland 2, wing commanders new game exct..Plus a slew of other new titles..Project eternity can take its time get it right..Give us the game with out many bugs an such..Huge fan of obsidian..Loved alpha protocol..Even though it was hated lol..People just didn't understand the game..Plus it was rused bye publishers..Now obsidian has the time to make this game great..Hope they pull t off..Also don't forget south park will be released in the spring cant wait for that..

Winter is coming...

... not fast enough!

But yeah, it's a lot more plausable a release date than april. So good they gave up on that after all the extra work needed for the goals.

I'm more than happy to wait a few months so they can add in all the extra stretch goal content and get a little more time to make sure all is right.

I hope the game gets released when it's ready. So if they decide in Winter 2014/2015 that it's not ready yet, it simply is not ready yet and I'll continue waiting patiently for its release. Good things come to those willing to wait... :)

Yes, when they say Winter, game releasing date wise, it means the beginning of it, as in November/December most of the time.

« Celui qui est consumé par la flamme de la justice ne craint ni le ciel, ni l’enfer ; il n’est qu’une arme attendant le jour de sa mort ». (Paul Murphy, l'Enclave, 1971)

Awww dang, I also thought it was april 2014... That would have been nice, like a birthday gift (since my birthday is in april). But okay, more time to play Dark Souls 2, before starting Pillars of Eternity in winter 2014 then :)

The release date is: when it's done. ;-)

Heh, Release Date ETAs... Great for one thing only. Hyping people up about the game release.

I really don't worry about dates anymore. It only gets your blood pressure up.

Just do what you can and release it in the best form possible.

late 2014

Ugh, oh well. Thanks for the heads-up. I can live with that - though not happily. As I stated I'll only be pissed if they push it back for new stretch options.

I already waited a year. Another year is no problem :p

I was hoping for late Fall 2014, but I guess winter-ish works too. Something to do when it's cold and icky outside. I'd find Spring 2015 acceptable, if not exactly ideal, as well.

Just so long as it doesn't become Blizzard's version of "when it's done." I'm not sure I could wait 5 years or some such - well, I could, but it wouldn't make me happy...altho, on the bright side, if that were to occur, it might come right about when I'd need a serious pick me up for reaching the big 5-0! Would still rather have it much (much) sooner, however. ;)

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

Setting a hard release date this far out is just setting it up for more rage down the road if they have to push it back a week or two. Keeping it vague is a wise choice.

I really wish KS projects would take their timelines a little more seriously.
