Agiel
Not sure how many of you would be willing to make the plunge into yet another MMO, but En Masse Entertainment will be holding a server test soon which among other things will allow players to immediately promote a new character of their choice to level 58 so they can dive right into the end-game content in short order. While it does suffer from the same MMO tropes in quest design, I find the combat involving enough for it to have been my MMO poison of choice for the past year (true, issues with matchmaking, class balance, and the gear treadmill certainly keeps the PvP from being all it can be). It's also quite easily the prettiest MMO I've ever played as well (you may see why in the following images ). Details of the event can be found here: http://tera-forums.enmasse.com/forums/general-discussion/topics/Level-Up-Test-Event-Limited-Chance-for-a-Free-Level-58-Character-94757 However, should you find yourself enticed by this prospect and plan on joining the primary PvP server, Mount Tyrannus, look me up as my level 60 Castanic Sorceress, Lamashtu: And my 50 Amani Berzerker, Lillitu: Edited September 20, 2013 by Agiel Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.” -Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>> Quote "The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete." -Rod Serling
Walsingham
Sorry, mate. As much as I'm intrigued, I just say 'no' to MMOs. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp. Keyrock
I played it for a short bit. I found it way too creepy for my liking. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Guest Slinky
I played it for a short bit. I found it way too creepy for my liking. Exactly the reason why I stayed as far as I could from MMO's for years, got the impression from pictures like Agiel just posted that MMO's are aimed at people who use those hentai nude mods on Skyrim and the like. Playing SWTOR did teach me that most players aren't weirdos but still I find it disturbing to see people, who in all likelyhood are men, playing with characters who look like they spawned from some 14 year old's wet dream

The stuff Agiel posted I can deal with. Tera, though, also has got some really disturbing furry and loli fetishes going on. HoonDing
Played it until level 20 with a Popori sorcerer, got bored eventually. Fun game, but it felt like playing a pedo version of a Disney movie. I never even saw another Popori player when I played, only those lolis and Castanics. Still aside from Ages of Conan it's the only MMO that didn't make me quit after 2 hours. Edited September 20, 2013 by Drudanae The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
