AC was a perfect game, the only thing it needs is a nice 3d graphical update. I can already see Morgan, Santiago and Miram rendered in CIV4's idiotic childish portraits. Its a nightmare. SMAC with updated graphics and some of the stuff from Civ 4 would be good even if it's not revolutionary. But then again... Although to be honest, Relic people themselves have mentioned that of the former Homeworld team, there's almost no one left at Relic. Sad really, 3D has just gotten to the point where H3 could look glorious. Provided of course the same designers work on it, or at least keep the spirit of the game alive. I fail to see why Relic was even chosen to make this, their one and only action game was a miserable failure. But aside from that I wouldn't expect any new IP form them. THQ won't be taking risks right now. I know there's a fair amount of ex-Relic designers now working at Blizzard. Blizzard sure ain't stupid about hiring. Actually Blizzard hired mostly people that had a reasonable chance of creating serious competition for them. Dow1 designer was hired long before that game could unseat starcraft as a dominant RTS e-sport. As for Relic: It's not like they are making unsuccessful games right now. The problem with relic is that they specialized themselves in PC RTS. If they can't transition successfully to more modern genre/platforms they will be closed down before long.
