Maria Caliban Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Athens 2004 Olympic Games started today. Anyone else watching it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Um. This is for Way Off Topic... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So, why don't you move it? "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
Leferd Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 I think the NWN2 forum is out of his jurisdiction. "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
Phosphor Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 I think the NWN2 forum is out of his jurisdiction. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed. Either one of the Global Mods or NWN2 forum mods has to move it. Or the admin. But I'm powerless here.
tripleRRR Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 When did you become a mod? TripleRRR Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.
Phosphor Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 When did you become a mod? TripleRRR <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Guildmaster asked me earlier today. I guess someone had recommended me. So I accepted.
tripleRRR Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Well, congrats man. TripleRRR Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.
Phosphor Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Thank you, sir. Now if we could only get someone to move this thread....
tripleRRR Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 One of the mods will soon enough. TripleRRR Using a gamepad to control an FPS is like trying to fight evil through maple syrup.
Mandarb Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 To say that the PL starts tomorrow and Liverpool is up against Tottenham is way off topic :D
Magnum Opus Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 Well, congrats man.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm more inclined to offer my condolences, personally . Being a moderator is bad enough, but a middle-type moderator's got to be the absolute worst. They tell you that you have the power, only... not really. Ha ha. *shakes head sadly* Poor guy... :D

Ha ha. *shakes head sadly* Poor guy... :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Condolences equally welcomed There's nothing terrible about being a moderator as long as you realise that people just like to gripe and flame. No biggie. As for "power", as long as I have my little domain to keep tidy and busy with, there are no real worries. "Power" is only an issue if admin and upper-echelon mods constantly second-guess and over-ride your decisions, which certainly doesn't seem to be the case here.

ARrrg! "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta

'JN Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 Is anyone else wondering why they used the Jurassic Park theme at the beginning of the show?
Arkan Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 Is anyone else wondering why they used the Jurassic Park theme at the beginning of the show? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I noticed that too, right off the bat.
