Violetta Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Which country has been involved in the more peace keeping and humanitarian intervention campaigns, the United States or the European Union,. Let's list and compare the missions they each participated in, and we'll see which has participated in the most peace keeping and humanitarian intervention campaigns. Europe has participated in 16 humanitarian campaigns since 2002. I'm not sure how many America has participated in. Examples of peace keeping and humanitarian campaigns are Operation Power Pack, Operation Noble Anvil, Operation Uphold Democracy, Operation Provide Comfort, Operation Restore Hope, and others. Peace keeping and humanitarian intervention missions are typically small military campaigns with the sole purpose of keeping the peace and/or protecting civilian lives. For the purposes of this debate, lets not include the War on Terrorism (Iraq and Afghanistan). For the purposes of this debate, let's primarily use peace keeping and humanitarian missions from the past 20 years or so, say 1990 to present.
Moose Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Interesting though that some people see it that way. There are none that are right, only strong of opinion. There are none that are wrong, only ignorant of facts
Nepenthe Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Interesting though that some people see it that way. Ignorance colours perception in a lot of ways. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions

Walsingham Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 It's somewhat mendacious to compare the twoon numbers, isn't it? The US can and does occasionally deliver serious weight of power to a mission. The EU can't remotely compare. I'm not saying it isn't an interesting question, but it reeks of a bigger question behind it. What are you really interested in here? "It wasn't lies. Hurlshort Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 This is interesting stuff, but do you have any links to cheap meds or nike shoes?
Oblarg Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I am confused. If this is a bot, it's a really odd one. If it's an actual person, it's even odder. Hurlshort Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I'm very excited about the fact I called the whole bot thing early here. I feel like my Internet Forum Kung Fu has peaked.
Walsingham Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Hurlshot, you've merely begun your first steps in a larger world. Or something. "It wasn't lies.
