WorstUsernameEver Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 How would that be a bad thing, you bizarro-world-person?!? People have different opinions, film at 11. Well, believing that dialogues and over-the-shoulder camera in a RPG make that RPG a Gothic clone is certainly a .. controversial opinion.
Purkake Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 We have our own fare share of them over here as well.
WorstUsernameEver Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 We have our own fare share of them over here as well. Well, never implied otherwise. I was bribed to do so!
Alvin Nelson Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I don't know why, but it seems Alvin Nelson is going to Germany this weekend. Laf! I'm going early to hang out, then i'll be at GamesCom. Let me get back to sleeping. I'm tired... Avatar made by Jorian Drake
WorstUsernameEver Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 then i'll be at GamesCom. To give some new presentation.. maybe? You could just create a new account and answer anonymously you know.
Flouride Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 If I wasn't such a lazy bastard, I would take a cheap flight to Germany and come see this GamesCom. Hate the living, love the dead.
Morgoth Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 If I wasn't such a lazy bastard, I would take a cheap flight to Germany and come see this GamesCom. Even knowing you would have to endure masses of pimple-faced 12year old German nerds? Rain makes everything better.
WorstUsernameEver Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 If I wasn't such a lazy bastard, I would take a cheap flight to Germany and come see this GamesCom. Since most probably the presentation will be press-only I wouldn't bother if I were you.

KO771 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Sorry for double posting, but I can't edit my old one. According to http://www.4players.de/4players.php/gamesc...er/4/index.html DS III will be shown at Square Enix *party*
WorstUsernameEver Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Thanks for the info KO771. Do we know if this Squenix party is a press-only event or if non-journalist can join?
WorstUsernameEver Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Got no idea Will tell you wednesday evening Thanks!
funcroc Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 http://twitter.com/squareenixdave/statuses/21187251354 Wow! Dungeon Siege 3 just keeps looking better and better! Can't wait to hear what the press feels about it in EU!
funcroc Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 http://twitter.com/squareenixdave/status/21194485300 Q: Nothing for the people who are not journalists? Please give us the gameplay trailer of DS3 next week.SquareEnixDave: I think we have a theater at Gamescom...

funcroc Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 (edited) 1UP executive editor Thierry Nguyen's blog post Got questions for developers at Gamescom? As Sam posted earlier, he and I are mucking about in Cologne (which I always assumed was just in France, unless it's one of those multi-region cities like Paris, Texas versus Paris, France) for GDC Europe and Gamescom right now. Not much else for me to say at the moment, because it's late in Germany and my body is still thinking I'm in California. That, and "Swiss pasta" is just big pasta shells with meat sauce and peas. But, I can say we got a lot of appointments scheduled for the show, with ample interview time. So similar to what we did for E3, right now is your chance to shoot over some questions about some games here. I have my own line of thinking for each game or developer, but if you have dying curiosities about the below titles or people, leave a comment and I'll try to work it into my conversation: Diablo 3 The BioWare Doctors infamous 2 Portal 2 Killzone 3 Inversion MGS Rising LittleBigPlanet 2 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Deus Ex: Human Revolution Fable 3 Journey The Witcher 2 Warren Spector/Disney Epic Mickey Dungeon Siege 3 James Bond: Blood Stone Torchlight 2 Edited August 16, 2010 by funcroc
Starwars Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Maybe some day we will see what makes the previewers so impressed. Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
WorstUsernameEver Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Maybe some day we will see what makes the previewers so impressed. Exactly. For now we've only seen a couple of screenshots, taken from sub-optimal camera angles too. A little underwhelming to be honest.
KO771 Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 (edited) All the normal visitors won't see even the screens at GC2010. The Square Enix booth did not even show the cinematic teaser/trailer. These things were only shown in the business area (only accessable for press/devs/and so on). But the screens are already posted here, the teaser is known, the gameplay is not shown to the "normal" people (as far as the people at SQ told me on wednesday). Edited August 19, 2010 by KO771
