Purkake Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 AP doesn't look that hot outside of cutscenes, doing a quick search of Fallout 3 reviews, most said that the graphics help set the mood with open landscapes or don't have any pop-in, no one that I read was specifically saying that they were pretty. No idea about Singularity.
Bos_hybrid Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Dragon Age II : Timeline of Thedas Kirkwall sounds like an interesting place, especially if you choose to play as a Blood Mage.
Monte Carlo Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Dave indulges in the usual passive / aggressive Bio style. They really are thin-skinned. I'm not exactly a graphics whore but those screenies are embarrassing.
WorstUsernameEver Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 If anyone of you was asking him/herself how much time it would take before someone asked for an incestuous relationship.... you have your answer.
Oner Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Love how every time someone comes up with a kinky request they try to justify it as "an interesting role play experience". Purkake Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 People on the Bioware boards have always been pretty candid about what they expect from Bioware's games. It would be nice if the writers paired that up with some decent characters and story, though. I fear that we won't be leaving the Dragon Age setting any time soon
HoonDing Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Dragon Age II : Timeline of Thedas Dave really showed Ed Greenwood how to create a unique, compelling & detailed fantasy setting. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Oner Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Did they ever request rape? Giveaway list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DgyQFpOJvyNASt8A12ipyV_iwpLXg_yltGG5mffvSwo/edit?usp=sharing What is glass but tortured sand?Never forget! '12.01.13.
Bos_hybrid Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) Since when has incest become 'dark fantasy'? Edited July 14, 2010 by Bos_hybrid
WorstUsernameEver Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Since when has incest become 'dark fantasy'? Since fanfiction.net was born I guess. Well, the protagonist-Imoen romance mod was really popular so...
HoonDing Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Since when has incest become 'dark fantasy'? *cough* A song of ice and fire *cough* The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Amentep Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Since when has incest become 'dark fantasy'? *cough* A song of ice and fire *cough* Yeah, that was actually referenced in the Bio thread. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
Purkake Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) Since when has incest become 'dark fantasy'? *cough* A song of ice and fire *cough* Just wanted to say that, grr. "The things I do for love..." Not that Dragon Age managed to capture any of ASoIAF's goodness. Edited July 14, 2010 by Purkake
Amentep Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 David Gaider responds I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
WorstUsernameEver Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 He secretly scrapped his plans of a Hawke x Bethany fanfiction because of the fan feedback.
Bos_hybrid Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Since when has incest become 'dark fantasy'? Since fanfiction.net was born I guess. Well, the protagonist-Imoen romance mod was really popular so... Yeah it's not a surprise people want it. It was the 'it's dark fantasy' argument that had me confused. Since when has incest become 'dark fantasy'? *cough* A song of ice and fire *cough* But how was it used? Most likely as monarch trying to 'keep it in the family' right? That has real life basis.
Purkake Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) It was used awesomely, in addition to also being used as you said. Go read the books, they're great. Edited July 14, 2010 by Purkake
Amentep Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 But how was it used? Most likely as monarch trying to 'keep it in the family' right? That has real life basis. Never read it, but the internet tells me it was a guy having a relationship since they were young with his twin sister. This continued even after the sister married (and all the kids during the marriage were actually fathered by her brother, she terminated the one from her husband) I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

That would at least explain the existence of oafs like Cailan & Alistair. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Purkake Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Yeah, go spoil one of the central things that sets most of the first books events into motion. Good job!
Amentep Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Yeah, go spoil one of the central things that sets most of the first books events into motion. Good job! No problem, glad to help. Bos_hybrid Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 It was used awesomely, in addition to also being used as you said. Go read the books, they're great. I normally don't read fantasy, but I'll try and give them a go. But how was it used? Most likely as monarch trying to 'keep it in the family' right? That has real life basis. Monte Carlo Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Good to see Dave give the wierdos on the Bio forums a well-deserved slap-down.
