I wasn't talking just about you, but rather, of this whole forum and a couple of other ones I stop by. Cinematic trailers may be expensive but when they are done right they DO generate a lot of interest.

People have different opinions of other people. Tired dev could as well be someone who was very bitter at Parker because he was fired by him, just saying. Not that I have any element to know whether his account is true or not.

Uh, more like that the biggest potential for growth isn't on the consoles. But hey, after a few rounds of quoting before it gets here, no wonder it's going to look sensational. Morgoth Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I welcome Bioware's efforts to broaden her portfolio. Smaller games made by smaller teams normally leads to more creative work. I wouldn't mind some hardcore WRPG for the 3DS. Rain makes everything better.

Purkake Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 (edited) What's wrong with charging a smaller amount upfront and then having to pay for the parts if you like it? If it comes up to a normal game's cost and length you'll end up saving money if the game sucks, no? It might lead to games being frontloaded, but that's pretty much the case anyway. EDIT: This is assuming that all the parts of the game are completed at release. Edited July 15, 2010 by Purkake
Morgoth Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Maybe they ship a game without the exe file so that you have to pay extra for that. It would be hilarious. Rain makes everything better.
