We'll find out how incisive those arguments are in just a few weeks.

Listen to Dhruin guys, he makes lots of sense.

I'm wondering this myself. I thought ToEE wasn't as well received as say, Arcanum, but i'm not aware of actual sales figures.

ToEE met expectations, it sold better than what it probably deserves, and it didn`t bother Atari, the problem that caused Atari earnings to go to red in the end of 2003 was the failure of D&D Heroes for the consoles, it really bombed.

Which is kind of ironic, Atari being the "Grand Old" console game maker :)

One wonders how much weight a company like Atari puts on an asset like Goodwill, even if the actual unit sales met expectations (probably due to brand recognition). If the title did seem to receive some flak and moderate reviews, it might require more marketing to sell the next product to the same market ?

Just curious. Especially since I'm trying to keep an open mind in my guessing both publisher and title for Delaware. Nothing seems certain yet, not even that it will be announced at E3 :(

Well, that's good to know. :(

That's only true because ToEE's expectations were so low to begin with.

The problem with doing a game that isn't predicted to be a bestseller is that it's very hard to justify cost overruns to the publisher. Hence the early release and lack of bugfixing.

An old man turned ninety-eight

He won the lottery and died the next day

It's a black fly in your Chardonnay

It's a death row pardon two minutes too late

Isn't it ironic... don't you think?

It's like rain on your wedding day

It's a free ride when you've already paid

It's the good advice that you just didn't take

Who would've thought... it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly

He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye

He waited his whole damn life to take that flight

And as the plane crashed down he thought

"Well isn't this nice..."

And isn't it ironic... don't you think?

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you

When you think everything's okay and everything's going right

And life has a funny way of helping you out when

You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up

In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late

A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break

It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife

It's meeting the man of my dreams

And then meeting his beautiful wife

And isn't it ironic... don't you think?

A little too ironic... and yeah I really do think...

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you

Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out

Helping you out
