Pool of Radiance remastered

The last chapter of the PoR total conversion for nwn2 has been released over at teh vault:

For the uninitiated who haven't played the original PoR hang your heads in shame, but know that it was an excellent game back in the day (and probably still is via DosBox). NOTE: Not to be confused with that god-awful sequel Ruins of Whatever. If you don't remember that one because it's not installed on your hard-drive, then it's probably because it uninstalled your hard-drive!

Anyway, the latest version has all the previous chapters and FMVs interlinked together, and is accessible via nwn2's "new campaign". I'm in the slums of New Phlan atm, and so far, so good (it even runs above 30fps on my archaic rig)!

I might give this a go now that the entire thing has been released. Though I remember reading some comments on the Vault long ago that there's quite a lot of spelling errors in the mod. That can really kill a module for me.

Any comments on that jaguars4ever?

The spelling seems to be near perfect thus far (keeping in mind that I'm only in Kuto's Well). The only spelling error I've noticed is a journal entry of "involve" when it should be "involves" (plural). But, the journal voice takes on somewhat of a c0ckney style at times, so maybe it was intentional? (probably not though).

I have noticed a punctuation issue: Where it's apparent that the writer intends to encapsulate a sentence clause in dashes (e.g. Nwn2 has several upcoming mods - of which Jags and Starwars are awaiting Purgatorio in keen anticipation - the latest of which includes PoR), all I'm seeing are double blank spaces. Perhaps there's some sort of ASCII issue going on? I'm not entirely sure. The demarcation of inter-sentence clauses via commas seems to be fine ironically enough.

Thanks, doesn't sound all that bad. Perhaps spelling has been checked (I only remember reading it about near the time when the first part was released) since way back then.

Will probably try it out once I've finished MotB again.

Awesome! I've been eagerly awaiting the conclusion.

It starts a bit slow but the mod really picked up pace and kept my interest. A fantastic remake of the first real D&D computer game (there were a few previous D&D vid games but they were like pong).

I love how the author has recreated the old areas, but made everything have purpose and feel.

I've been waiting for this. As someone who's played the original PoR and the NWN version, I'm all excited about this for nostalgia reasons. (yes, I also played the ruins of myth drannor, and returned it because it sucked. Luckily my hard drive was spared).

My question, though, is how is it in multiplayer? It says it wasn't made for it, but has anyone run into anything that might be a problem for multiplayer? I needs to plays it in mp!
