Yuusha Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 It's sad that England didn't qualify. I guess I only have France to root for now. Btw, I hear Capello is taking over the three lions.
Hildegard Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 World Cup 2010 qualifiers, again against England.....hhahahahhahaha
SteveThaiBinh Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Ooh, grudge match. Don't worry, England have (mostly) got their hooligan problem under control. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Walsingham Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 *wince* Knowing some of the guys who worked on Football Factory I'd say it was still there though. Buyt whatever you say about our hooligans they're not as heavily armed as Croatia's. Anyway, that aside I wonder whether anyone's going to kick the FA's butt now that it's been established this isn't just a smackdown for national pride. Being knocked out is estimated to have dented the Uk economy to the tune of 2 BILLION pounds (that's about 14 BILLION USD ). As the popular refrain goes "something must be done". "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.

Walsingham Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 NO. I said armed. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
Guest The Architect Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 (edited) Here's how the Euro 2008 draw turned out... Group A Switzerland Czech Republic Portugal Turkey Group B Austria Croatia Germany Poland Group C Holland Italy Romania France Group D Greece Sweden Spain Russia Edited December 2, 2007 by The Architect
Daaave Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Group C looks like it will be lots of fun. In an ideal world Romania would cause a shock and go through along with Holland. Blatantly not going to happen though Just because you're a bit thinner than your even fatter mum it doesn't mean you're in excellent physical shape, if you could fit through the door and view the normal people you'd notice that cheeseburger boy. Squid suck.
Pidesco Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I'm betting either France or Italy will fail to qualify from their group. Not both, though. Hildegard Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 So we're playing again against Germany...last time we played against them in a big tournament was in France 98, guess it's gonna be a rerun of that match
Meshugger Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Italy will not qualify from group C. Guest The Architect Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 (edited) Has a host nation/s ever failed to get past the group stages in Euro? Because if not, I'd say it's on the cards this time. I honestly can't see Austria making it into the last 8. I'd expect Germany and Croatia to go through in that group. The other host on the other hand, Switzerland, is a better chance of getting into the last 8. I'm expecting Portugal to get into the last 8 but the battle for second spot in Group A is going to be really interesting. I can't see Italy not getting into the last 8. They're still all that... those bastards. Don't really know what France is like these days, but I don't know, the Dutch only scored 15 goals in the qualifying round. They only conceded 5 though, but bah, I still expect the French to go through as well. I'd have to say D and A are the most interesting groups in my opinion. In D you've got the Greeks. Will they perform like they did in Euro 2004? Well it's doubtful. Will Russia under Guus cause a surprise? Will Spain exit the group stage and perform their famous swan dive routine? How will Sweden go? I honestly don't know who will get out of this group. Russia has the weakest team but they're under Hiddink. Greece could cause a surprise, Sweden is always a threat and Spain is strong as always and usually good to watch. They've underachieved for so long. Surely sooner or later they're going to win it, or lose the final, or go close. If I had to narrow it down to three teams it'll come down to though, I think it'll be 3 of the 4 World Cup semi finalists: Italy, Germany and Portugal. Throw in Spain and there's your last 4 I reckon. I'd like to see a Germany-Italy rematch, with the Germans hopefully getting revenge. I don't know about you guys, but I thought their WC semi-final match was pretty awesome. Edited December 3, 2007 by The Architect
