chris the jedi killer Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I thought HL 2 was more scary. Mostly because some of the enemies were damn ominous the first time. I was incredibly unnnerved by fast zombies and all the organic machines. Then I realised how powerful Combine Standard Issue Pulse Rifle actually is. FEAR had so much better action though. Some mods remedied that thing for HL 2 later on. well i prefer hl 2 for pc the xbox version sucks A coward dies a thousand deaths but a soulja dies one~ 2Pac
Tale Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Ravenholm was scarier than anything FEAR brought to the table. Until the non-canon Timegate expansion. That was pretty scary. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Bokishi Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Nah Ravenholm was still scarier than the FEAR expansion. Hearing the fast zombies coming for you on the rooftops still makes me say "omfg where am I going to hide!?" But FEAR has pure kinetic hardcore tactical shooting action that you just can't beat, and it must be played on extreme difficulty and without slowmo so u appreciate it. Current 3DMark
Musopticon? Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 The reflex boosting makes the game too easy overall. If it would be just the Max Payne-bullet time which only about halves enemy movement speed(even less in Max Payne 2) I wouldn't compain, but it makes everything so slow that you make take about a dozen headshots and just keep runnin back and forth in a level, spamming the ability until everyone is dead. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
