Volourn
"That still does not mean game can't be the catalyst, geez" Ye,s it does. I don't believe for one second that a game (or any form of entertinament) cna be the 'catalyst' or the 'reason' for someone becoming violent. It's just silly. If someone beats me up becausd ehe wants my copy of 'To Kill A Mockingbird' so bad, I guess we should blame that book and ban it. LMAO Vioent people ar eviolent because of who they are, the situation they grew up in (absive home being a common reason), alchoholism, inability to control their emotions in uncomfrotable/unpleasant situations; NOT because of a game, or book, or movie. I have seen no facts to disprove that. None. It's like ther lameos who tried to blame D&D for certain violent acts in the 80s... yet, conviently ignored more obvious factors like horrible home live, poor choice of friends, generaldepression, etc., etc. top lamely focus on the book with the dragon on it. L0L Period. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

L0L Period. Most definitely, the catalyst for a human can be anything if that human can't really think for them self, Henceforth Inspiration. I could if watching the food network & see Rachel Ray cooking a pie in fact be Inspired to also go cook a pie even know I have never cooked a pie in my life & if I did because of her she in turn would be the catalyst of me cooking that pie & then eating that pie & O, yay I'm going to eat the hole thing & gorge my self. After I have gorged my self & now feel terrible because I have to much in my belly, Is it Rachel's fault that I had no restraint as I indulged in my Gluttony? No way. The most common catalyst in human history has been the Devil, Satan, or Lucifer if someone wishes to play the blame game & point fingers at the Witch who he said made him commit Adultery with her, even though he seduced her. Because it is the common belief if someone is a witch thay in turn have that power. Such a person is just taking advantage of the situation to try & get away with there own sin or what ever, henceforth "The Devil made me do it"... So if people are going to insist on using the catalyst theory as way a Adult can't play a Fictional game no matter how Trashy, silly, or lacking in originality it is, any number of catalytic excuses can be applied to why someone committed murder as they mimic some scene from this Game called Manhunt 2. For example some teenagers harass other teenagers at school humiliating them all the time to the point they are so angry they can't think strait & start to revear Hitler as some sort of hero. In turn go off a kill every person who harassed them & even people who had nothing to do with it because they are so blinded by hate that now they only see the people who made fun of them & later when it is all over many people say that Hitler is the catalyst in this one & that is because it is so easy to point a finger at a well known villain saying , he made them do it or what eve. When in fact the catalyst here was the lack of compassion from fellow piers & even that isn't a good excuse simply because a lot of teenagers go through that & come out of High school OK to grow up to become Billionaires or what ever. Nick_i_am
You baked the pie because you were hungry, the show was the catalyst. Without the show, you might have cooked somthing else (or gone hungry), but would you have cooked a pie?
