Absolutely great book, definitely on a par with John Wyndham, even if it was certainly inspired by him. The research and near future aspects are the most scary bits. Except for a couple of very minor tweaks this has to be one of the best books I've read in a long whille, and without question the only one in years that I literally couldn't put down. April 20, 200718 yr I heard it was an awesome book. Thanks for the feed back, I've been meaning to get a sweet book. There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.

April 20, 200718 yr I might take a look at it, though I probably finish it pretty fast to. 400 pages isn't much in my opinion. It took me only 2 days to read The Stand.
