Bokishi
Finally they replaced those horrid distant land textures with better ones, so a LOD mod isn't required. Also, I noticed that the playable land fades in over the distant improved textures (rather than pop in) so they all blend in really good. http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm Current 3DMark

Do you use it and if so, any issues? Do you use it and if so, any issues? I wouldn't think so. Mods usually conflict with other mods either because two mods try to change the same thing or because something a mod changes now longer works with another mod. Mods usually don't conflcit with the core game itself. Unless the patch makes massive changes to the underlying game, I can't see it being a problem. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that. Enoch
Thanks for the update. I haven't played Oblivion in a few months, but I plan on loading it up when I get my new system assembled to see how it looks above 640X400. And OOO is an excellent mod. Meshugger
So the finally fixed what modders did a long ago, the LOD-issue on the terrain. SteveThaiBinh
Have they fixed the overall feel of the graphics as well as the distance textures? You can get mods that really improve the environment so the world just feels warmer and a more pleasant place to be. After running those, you really appreciate how bleak the original Oblivion environments were - landscape and sky combined, I suppose. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now."
