Rip Magyar Posse - Kings of Time! And Cradle of Filth's early albums are actually kind of decent.

Actually, the first two Cradle albums are awful things, clearly made only for the gore, blood and shock value. But then, in Dusk... and Cruelty, they must have gotten some good guitarists or something, because there are some songs with incredibly awesome riffs. The lyrics are still hellishly awful, but as it is impossible to understand a word Dani says anyway, it isn't really a problem.

My ipod bought the ticket last nite, and I recently purged my computer of all music that I had on my ipod. Needed the space. I was able to save about 1/3 of it all, but that's still about 15 gigs lost.

So now I guess it's to the torrents to reclaim my library.

~160 gigs, of which 100 gb are 2006 releases.

Yarrrrr!

And with 2006 being quite a crappy musical year... :aiee:

I only have 19.2 gig of music but 107 gig worth of media files.

I don't own an iPod as I don't listen to music.

He's lying to you about not listening to music. He listens to jazz and classical.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.

I think what Meta artfully points out is that when one listens to jazz and classical, it is in fact not contradictory to say you don't listen to music. amirite?

I didn't know Marilyn Manson had that many albums

People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.

I have Marylin Manson, Enya, Mos Def, Cruxshadows, Voltaire, Zakk Wilde, Disturbed, Ministry of Sound, Depeche Mode, Danny Elfman, and the list goes on and on.

Much better than 2005. 2007 will probably be better, new Jesu, new Low, new Andrew Bird, the list goes on. And it's only january! Besides, a year is crappy only if you don't look for new stuff hard enough.

Yes, music then uses one as a tool of expression.

I have a related question here: There's a chance that I'll move to the States later this year, for graduate study. Now I have this obsession that any original cd or dvd has to stay in the cupboard, and that if I have to carry them anywhere, I should take my backups with me----and I painstakingly backup almost every cd and dvd I get. Right now I've got about 70 dvds full of music and film, and this I want to take with me to the US in case my graduate study plans materialize.

Obviously with the originals sitting in my room back in Turkey I won't be able to prove that I'm not indulging in piracy, should the need arise----what I'd like to ask is: Would that need arise to prove at all?
