EDIT: I realize that Cole isn't even in the playoffs but they made up the list a couple weeks ago and didn't bother to update it after the regular season...

Cheechoo might not be out too long. He will probably try and play in game 3. A knee sprain can heal up rather quick, and so far there is no evdence of tearing.

 

edit: Still, I'd pick Michalek.

Has he fully recovered yet? I don't think he's playing on the top line. I'd normally agree though.

I picked up Michalek in time for tonights game so hopefully he works out. I could have used Parise last night though.

He wa sonly worthy of his paycheck for the firts 20 games. He's been a bust sINCE. The guy was a friggin' pathetic minus. I liked him better as a non Ranger!!!

So far it looks like all of my predictions have/are going to lose. San Jose went down 5-2 earlier. Vancouver is down 2-0 with less than 10 minutes left. Minnesota still has a chance as they are only down by one in the first period.

It would, but I still don't think that would stop people from saying he can't perform in the playoffs. A single series could be seen as a fluke, or a weak opponent. A cup run would be a lot harder to dismiss.

 

EDIT: And I traded Cheechoo before the game only to find that he skated in the game and got an assist too.

everyone I talked to today was depressed about the 'nucks loss and I just thought "Hey, almost every prediction I've read has them winning the series in 6, so one loss isn't a big deal."

Well, I was imagining Minnesota in the finals this year (great odds!) but they've already lost two to Anaheim. Depressing.

Yeah. Minnesota needs to get a lead at some point in the series. They always seem to be playing catch up and they aren't a high enough scoring team to be able to do that. At least both losses have only been by 1 goal so far.

Minnesota is no match Anaheim. Minnestoa is good; but Anaheim is just way too strong. Sorry, folks.

Great game so far between Ottawa and the Pens 4 - 3 with 7:15 to go.

Ah crap. Ottawa is now 0-7 in game twos following a game one win. So close there at the end.

I hate to say it though, but Dallas deserves to win. They're outplaying us most of the time. When Luongo went down me and my roommates were like "Oh god... if he's out, we're done..." He's really the only thing keeping us alive.

Nah. Dallas had you outplayed for the first half of the game, but Vancouver picked up speed in the second half. They dominated the third period. The shots on goal for the third were something like 15-4 for Vancouver.
