Hell Kitty Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 they can't very well revert to full TB, with RPGs moving onto consoles more and more.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why not, TB RPGs aren't unpopular on console.
Diogo Ribeiro Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I agree with Hell Kitty and mkreku. Excuse me while I try to find a portal out of Bizarro world In any case I can't say much since it's still in development and the movie isn't depicting the game as is. There's no telling how much in it is a bad choice for design (ie, the mech standing still and taking shots) and how much is just to give a taste of what may come.
astr0creep Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 This has just become a system seller for me. Thanks Volo! (for the game & Bioware, not Volo) http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Llyranor Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 (edited) I'm not sure what to think of the combat yet, but it does look quite improved from the previous lackluster footage. Stat-based action-RPG can be hit or miss, but I can see a mixture of those elements as well as squad control to have good potential. Pseudoaction, with a tactical squad element. Could work. In any case, looks like my brother's picking up a 360 tomorrow, so I guess I'll be keeping an eye on this to some extent. alanschu Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Considering the game was labelled as an action-RPG, I'm not too surprised about the combat. Though I still cannot see the video....
