Musopticon? Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Yeah, they are great. I do like the solo project, Harmaa, of the lead artist quite a bit more. They remind me of Ulver and are very folklorish without being mundanely viking. Right now: http://sieni.us/?id=30 kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I'm gonna get some Steve Earle tomorrow, uh, after school, unless I blow my pocket change on Philip Roth novels and post-pubescent hoochies (hint: all things assessed, not exactly a soothsayer's bet). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmm.... what Steve Earle? For latter-day, post-heroin, politically-charged roots-rock (enough hyphens for ya?), I'd say Jerusalem is a good buy. I'm partial to I Feel Alright, although some champion Train a Comin as his best album. You can't go wrong with either. Of course if you can find it, Shut Up and Die Like an Aviator not only has the greatest title for a live album I have ever heard, but it's a great collection of his best pre-jail work. There are a few nice comps out there that have the best tunes from the first few albums, but you probably want to hear it in the original context, as the artist intended, etc. etc. Steve Earle - Valentine's Day baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
