Kor Qel Droma Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I'll assume this Wallflower has the power of suggestion? Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Fenghuang Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 (edited) She screws with people's emotions on a chemical level through the production and excretion of pheromones. Wallflower Edited November 24, 2006 by Fenghuang RIP
ElNino Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 @Fenghuang She has "the word" (hence my reference to the comic Preacher). Have you read NBC's latest comic?
Fenghuang Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 No, not yet. Dialup, I'll read it on Monday when I'm sitting on my school's hi-speed connection. I have read Preacher though! Oh, and in a battle between Eden and Jesse pre-getting shot in the head and losing Genesis Jesse all the way. I mean, his voice is the freaking Word of God. RIP
astr0creep Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 My wife thinks the nuclear explosion in New York is caused by Ted the Radioactive Man. http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I love how this show makes me think that Mondays are the new Wednesdays. But at the same time, I find that Monday low that you always feel starts on a Tuesday now. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Gfted1 Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 Oh horror of horrors, my TiVo didnt record it last night. *sob* I hope they show them online like Lost. Which network is it again? NBC? "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Yeah, its NBC. You can watch it from their site, if you live in America, that is. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Gfted1 Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 Excellent, thanks Kor. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
astr0creep Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 What ever means you find to watch it Gifted, it's worth it. This was one great episode! (w00t) http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 High points for me were Nathan abandoning his wife, and the start of the explanations for Niki and Sylar. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Oerwinde Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 High points for me were Nathan abandoning his wife, and the start of the explanations for Niki and Sylar. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think he really abandoned his wife, I think it was more of an unconcious reaction that he had no control over. Seeing as it was his first time flying. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Fenghuang Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 That's more how I saw it. Like how in a lot of comic books people's powers'll activate and save them from getting hurt even though they didn't know they had them previously. RIP
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 but he's more interesting when he's evil. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
astr0creep Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Am I right in assuming that, except for a few of them, everyone's powers turned on at the same time? Also, I'm thinking Jessica is the one with the power, not Nikki. Oh and sorry for all my crap about Sylar and Hiro... :"> http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Gfted1 Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 Am I right in assuming that, except for a few of them, everyone's powers turned on at the same time? It seems that way. Another excellent episode. So Sylar's original power was the ability to "see" into a person and deduct how to mimic their powers! Holy cow, hes going to be the strongest by far. He also stated he can "feel" others with powers. This guy is going to be one bad-ass villian. I wonder what powers he learned while killing all those others. I like the attention to detail too such as IRG (Infinite Recall Girl) correctly pronouncing Hiro's name as Hido (sounds like He-doh). So did "destiny" rewrite itself to give her a brain aneuyrism (how the hell do you spell that) when Hiro went back to save her or did she always have it? "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
astr0creep Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 My main question now is what does Sylar do with the brains and, of course, who is this mysterious black man that blocks everyone's power? http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Gfted1 Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 Im not sure he can block every power but certainly can block any mental assaults (Suggestion Girl), attempts at scrying (cop) and read/wipe memories. Meaning, for example, I dont think he could stop a non-mental power like flying, radiating, healing, etc... "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
ElNino Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Im not sure he can block every power but certainly can block any mental assaults (Suggestion Girl), attempts at scrying (cop) and read/wipe memories. Meaning, for example, I dont think he could stop a non-mental power like flying, radiating, healing, etc... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But everything is mental powers hehe... I will agree that he probably can't stop a table beging telekinetically thrown at him, but he can perhaps neutralize his wouldbe attacker' power entirely. He simply has to act first. Perhaps distance is his achilles heel.
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 He simply has to act first. Perhaps distance is his achilles heel. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that did not seem to be the case when Nathan escaped from he and HRG. and in the future, we should use a whenever Infinite Recall Girl is mentioned, since Fenguang coined the phrase. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
ElNino Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Hmm... I hear what you are saying, but perhaps he needs a little time to "build up momentum" like Hiro. Dunno. Many possibilities
Fenghuang Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 but he's more interesting when he's evil. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's not evil, he's a politician. RIP
Kor Qel Droma Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I just watched the episode eleven preview . I smell a huge cliffhanger to lead into the break. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
astr0creep Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Well, as far as I can tell, Hiro has been so busy finding a cheerleader(and then a girlfriend) that he seems to have forgotten about the nuclear explosion in New York. And It was "Save the cheerleader, save the World", not "Save the cheerleader, save New York". Also, what if Isaac's painting wasn't about Claire? http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
