alanschu Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I'm sure this is in the wrong forum, but I should thank MSNBC for making a "best of" skit for John Stewart

Arkan Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Video stops 5 seconds in. "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta

Calax Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 eh... basically it's the news anchor at MSNBC trying to say "John stewart is EVIL!" and his three guests say "eh... he's not so bad, at least he gets people into politics." the anchor takes three minutes to point out how venomous Stewart was to him when he was on the show. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Surreptishus Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Look, you would feel outraged too if you had been called a bleep-bag on cable television.
Pop Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 (edited) Is this MSNBC anchor, by chance, Tucker Carlson? *edit - No one should be surprised by this. Edited September 15, 2006 by Pop Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Surreptishus Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 No, it was Joe Scarborough or something.
Pop Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 (edited) No, it was Joe Scarborough or something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didn't know Stewart extended the douche bag status to Scarborough It is kind of surprising, since Scarborough professes to "like" Stephen Colbert. How can you like one and not the other? They practically do the same thing. Except Colbert called Scarborborough a retard on air wierd. Lucius Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 (edited) And in that little "except" you probably have the answer Einstein. Me, I like them both. Edited September 15, 2006 by Lucius DENMARK! It appears that I have not yet found a sig to replace the one about me not being banned... interesting.
Pop Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 And in that little "except" you probably have the answer Einstein. Me, I like them both. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jon Stewart = Calls Scarborough a douchebag. Stephen Colbert = Calls Scarborough a retard. Joe Scarborough = Denounces Jon Stewart, loves Stephen Colbert. You're right, it makes perfect sense! Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Lucius Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 There's a difference, Jon did it to his face, and in a hostile fashion. I didn't hear Colbert call Joe a retard in the interview on the report, and I don't think he's been there before. DENMARK! It appears that I have not yet found a sig to replace the one about me not being banned... interesting.
kumquatq3 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Jon's got no love for Scarborough Country He makes funny of him often
Lucius Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 That Joe guy does seem kinda nice, for a rep. DENMARK! It appears that I have not yet found a sig to replace the one about me not being banned... interesting.
