I don't mind, most people hated the movement in Deadly Shadows, another game that got crap thrown at it due to body awareness, but I liked the movement there. Not so much a fan of the way the view bounces around, but I suppose I'll get used to it. Want to play an assassin character but having the two daggers take up screen space when I turn is rather distracting. Not a fan of the HDR lighting thingy but at least that can be turned off. I still can't decide whether I should buy the game or not, and I thought demos are supposed to convince the customer...anyway. The combat needs tweaking. Actually, if you keep kicking the orcs into the balls you're more efficient than using the sword. Hmm... Vic Posted August 26, 2006 Share Posted August 26, 2006 (edited) Damn, had alot of fun with this. I really love the art direction. The combat is one of the most satisfying experiences of its type. Love alot of the little details. Casting the frost spell, but it only hitting the orc's shield or sword and just turning that to a beautiful ice texture. It's pretty satisfying when I've been fighting an orc who becomes wounded, who now stumbles around and is slow and sluggish. Like the blood decals. Like the spell effects (hand turning to flame, hand becoming ice). Unlike alot of people, I like the sense that the character is there, much like Thief 3. Forget what that's called. Also don't mind the camera moving alot. My only complaint is that my system can't quite handle it. Stutters here and there, and long loading. And real refreshing to see a video that's not about the demo level. That city looks dman near perfect and I love that the game has parts that are not inhabited by simply hostile entities.
