It seems a tad unlikely, all things considered, but there's an interesting theory over on Slashdot at the moment that Duke Nukem Forever might be released by the end of the year. The theory is based on a half million dollar bonus offered to 3DRealms by Take 2 if the game is on the shelves for Christmas. Never mind 'done when it's done', we've long since settled for 'expect it when we see it' on this one. Now the Texas-based developer will receive only $4,250 for the oft-delayed game when it is completed.
