Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it;

Makes.  No.  Sense.

Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks?

Makes.  No.  Sense.

But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case!

DR, you think RPGs don't do strategic combat because you eschew all valid strategical considerations. Durh. :rolleyes:

 

Also, Chewbacca doesn't live on Endor, it's his evil twin that has betrayed him due to some speshul reasons.

I never said I stoled it.  The guy who has the amulet stoled it.  I checked his stats.  He is level 1 as well.

Really, after clicking on the gate watch the movies. Don't skip them; as you "might" loose track of the story...

 

Um.. if it's anythimng like DS1; it's *nothing* like Diablo combat. It's more 'watch your characters kill your enemies while eating popcorn' and listening to porn music'...

 

Well, it is like Diablo and not like Dungeon Siege...

 

I prefer a little strategy in my combat instead of zerging.

 

MS decided they had to cut into AI cause it made it too difficult for the common folks. With the expansion the AI they wanted to have shall be included (hopefully also for this campaign, yet nothing has been confirmed about that)

 

Neither is being suckered in for another $50...

Really? When casting mass charm? Ok then..

I am speaking of offensive spells like fireball, lightning, cloud kill, etc. Who uses charm? Most of the time it fails because of saves.

 

Actually when I play wizards and such I memorize spells like Acid Arrow, Fire Arrow, magic Missile than the large area effect spells because of just that. I like percise targeting so that friendly fire does not occur.

Wait. STOLE the amulet? He never stole no amulet. He had that one from childhood, and gave it to you (the PC) just before he died...

That still makes no sense if the elf didn't want the employer to get the amulet why work for him in the first place? If I didn't want someone to get a hold of an aartifact of mine I would definitely not work for the bugger no take it with me on the job if I did. I mean, lets use a little common sense here.

Well, maybe the amulet was not the artifact. Look good at the back of the temple when you enter that temple...

Valdis never was after the amulet, but after Drevin saw he was going to die he just wanted you to have it for... see storyline!

 

I did not say "they."  I said "he" as in the employer.  Your reading comprehension needs work.

If Valdis was never after the amulet then attacking his own men makes even less sense.

 

I am trying to figure out why Validis attacked his own mercs. He paid them, they fought for him, so why? What is the motivation behind the attack?

Also the betrayals in the Bioware games made sense. Predictable but made sense.

 

And this makes sense. He really didn't want the main char to tell of his finding in his home town...

 

I did play the Dungeon Seige 2 demo. It was called Dungeon Seige 1. :shifty:

Because a RPG-veteran *cough cough cough* cannot understand it. Ofcourse it makes one wonder how he finished PS:T and Kotor2 and BG2 and such while understanding what happened there... or did he?

I've played both Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege 2, and while Dungeon Siege was one of the worst RPG's I've ever played, Dungeon Siege 2 wasn't all bad. It was still extremely repetitive, but the story is much stronger, the combat is somewhat more tactical (and involving) and the entire game just felt more.. interesting. I'm no fan of Diablo-clones so I still didn't like Dungeon Siege 2, but not admitting that it's a step forward for the franchise is just dumb.

Just because it's 'improved' from DS1 doesn't mean it's worth risking MY dollars on it. And, no amount of sucking up from people who WANT me to waste my dollars on a crap series is gonna change that.
