Kor Qel Droma Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 GTA Vice City chose very well for its 80s Top 40 station <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Vice City seems like a lifetime ago....but I actually have the OUtfield cd. Ben Harper- Burn One Down Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Darth Drabek Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 (edited) I had heard the song before the game, but I did not have the CD. The music in those games just really set the mood. I mean, driving a T-Top down the strip with that song on made me feel like I was in the 80s. And I didn't even get my license until grunge was dead and buried. I never finished San Andreas... got sick of getting killed repeatedly near the end. Matthew Sweet - Sick of Myself edit: speaking of the 80s, I listened to Van Halen's 1984 in its entirety while doing stuff around the apartment last night. Classic. Edited May 5, 2006 by Darth Drabek baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs

Classic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't stand hearing 'Jump' anymore, but anytime 'Panama' (Panama!!!) or 'Hot For Teacher' comes on I really tend to turn up the stereo. Van Halen - Panama Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Baley Posted May 5, 2006 Author Posted May 5, 2006 Bad Religion - Automatic Man I forgot how ****ing great this album is.
LoneWolf16 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Fort Minor - Petrified I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast
thepixiesrock Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 John Zorn - Inside Straight. Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
Dark_Raven Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Testament "Return to Serenity" Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

Blarghagh Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 (edited) Modest Mouse - The Dark Center Of The Universe Another of my favourite bands that was recently accused of selling out. Bulldingo, really. Just because Float On became a minor hit doesn't mean they changed their music or style just to get more airplay. Float On is almost a typical Modest Mouse song, and the rest of the album is definately not geared to the mainstream. I have yet to meet a person that is not into indie that wasn't immediately turned away by This Devil's Work Day Edited May 6, 2006 by TrueNeutral
Kor Qel Droma Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 The Cult - Fire Woman just taking another little trip down nostalgia lane..... Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
WinterSun Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Yeah man... The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary master of my domain Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo.
LoneWolf16 Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 (edited) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do they even understand what he's saying? I didn't... Fort Minor - Where'd You Go? Baley Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 All right, if not rap, what are they then? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How should I know, I was just trying to say they make soulless boring music. Perhaps a more suitable analogy would have been "Fort Minor are to rap what Linkin Park are to Metal". Mmm yes. The Dwarves - How To Win Friends And Influence People

Just because people weren't using the term at the time the band came up doesn't mean it doesn't retroactively apply to them. Metallica - Hero Of The Day OMG I SOLD OUT. POST BLACK ALBUM METALLICA.
