And what's wrong with that?

If only my father had bought me shares in Apple Computer Inc, rather than the Apple //e computer ... *sighs*

That was my first computer! Loderunner was awesome!

Indeed. Many days lost playing that game ...

I miss the point 'n' click, the golden age of Lucasarts. The pretenders, Revolution going about their business ala Saved by the Bell: The New Class. Beneath a Steel Sky and the Broken Sword series before it forsooke its imaginative origins in favour of puzzles of box pushing variety.

Heady days indeed.

I miss my childhood too...Chutes & Ladders was awesome.

But yeah, I feel the same way, for different reasons...the game world just doesn't excite me as much as it used to, since there are very few games that give me that obsessive fun feeling of old.

I really do. From the times of Fallout all the way through to Icewind Dale 2.

For the past few years there have been no good traditional rpgs released, and I have been condemned to a bleak and miserable existence.

What do you mean by "traditional"?

RPGs such as the Fallouts, Baldurs Gates, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dales, Arcanum, TOEE etc.

I'm sure people who grew up with games like Wasteland, Wizard's Crown, Pool of Radience and Bard's Tale felt the same way when those games you mentioned came out.

Times change, evolve or do without :p

The original bards tale

Alternatively, you would be shooting little pixelated aliens crawling on ultra-magnified gazongas. :(

A male thing I am sure. Port pornography into a classic game like Space Invaders. What next nude Super Mario Brothers?

I don't think that would be a male thing.

Sounds like the ideal project to tap into the very vocal incestuous, homosexual demographic. Actually, lets go with this, we've got all our bases covered; Princess Toadstool for heterosexual males, Wario for the ladies and the little mushroom guy for the depraved.

Whatever (questionable) use this topic had to begin with, it is certain that it does not retain any of it now.
