(note: That was because I got wild and bought about 20 games in one go, so it was because I had too many games, not so much because the game was boring... so this opinion could change on my next try)

I'm in Luv :)

I tend to look for used games in excellent condition, first and foremost (unless it's a new release I really want, or from a series I collect - Read: Resident Evil)

I'd rate BG2 higher than BG, right up until the latter stages of Throne of Bhaal where there are too many stupid hard fights. The main city in BG2 (name escapes me) is head and shoulders above the design for Baldur's Gate City in the first game. Just my opinion, of course.

Oh, and I tend to throw the packaging for games away the day I get them. It just takes up unnecessary shelf space.

What?!

You can't do that!

I was contemplating buying the paperback version of the hardback book I just bought, so that I could read that instead of messing up my lovely hardcover ...

Oddly enough, I tend to have that dilemma as well.

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

Is PS:T really that bad? I never played it.

Oh yes my good man it certainly is. You get a premade character, a male with the name The Nameless One of all names. Big strike there for me. It has a boring story that you need to figure out why you died. The graphics are subpar, modding completely sucks. But it does have some good voice talent involved in it.

It was a terrible game, truly awful in every way. There was far too much well-written dialogue, and the whole thing was infested with interesting characters and concepts. There weren't nearly enough dungeons filled with hundreds of identical monsters for you to kill easily by randomly clicking your mouse in their general direction. :-

You couldn't even choose what color the protagonist's loincloth could be. Without such deep roleplaying options, it should be labelled a FPS.

It's basically a rehashed version of FIFA Soccer '97.

Yes. I've struggled mightily for many years, but it seems that FIFA Soccery '97 is probably the most similar to Torment.

It's more focused on creating very well thought out characters and a very interesting story...

I know Gab hates it, since she is only use to games like BG.

I hate the lack of off-side rule. That spoils the immersion for me, no matter which game it is.

Yeah, true HardCore gamers use the original pre-patch engine, and add the super-nazi Referee mod.
