roshan Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Does anyone here listen to industrial metal? What bands do you listen to?
Pidesco Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Like Fear Factory? "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands. Heja Sverige!! Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
roshan Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 Like Fear Factory? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I listen to a bit of Fear Factory. But they arent really that industrial, just borderline. I think fear factory is more of a nu metal band(another genre that i like) Industrial Metal basically refers to metal with electronics combined. My favourite band is Rammstein.
Lucius Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 RAMMSTEIN!!!!!!!!! DENMARK! It appears that I have not yet found a sig to replace the one about me not being banned... interesting.
kirottu Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 My favourite band is Rammstein. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you seen the new Mann Gegen Mann music video? It This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Vashanti Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Back in my day, "Industrial" and "Metal" were two different genres of music, and we liked it! There was no rap metal either (unless you count "I'm the Man," by Anthrax). /shakes his walker at the whippersnappers!

Thankfully, industrial metal is more than the sum of its parts.
WITHTEETH Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 I went to a Nine Inch Nails concert before, good fun. Always outnumbered, never out gunned! Unreal Tournament 2004 Handle:Enlight_2.0 Myspace Website! My rig
Meshugger Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 The closest thing to Industrial is seing NiN live for me too. WinterSun Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Like Fear Factory? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How long's it been since they released anything worth listening to? Ten years? master of my domain Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo.
roshan Posted February 10, 2006 Author Posted February 10, 2006 (edited) Well NIN is nowhere close to metal. Edited February 10, 2006 by roshan

roshan Posted February 10, 2006 Author Posted February 10, 2006 True, but this topic is about industrial metal, which is a separate genre.
Dark_Raven Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 *Spam and nonsense deleted.* Industrial music is an interesting form of music, but not something I listen to frequently. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Meshugger Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 While Fear Factory is considered as a Industrial-metal band(Demanufacture was nice), how about Meshuggah then? They have very odd, polyrythmic beats + 7 string guitars which gives them a "industrial" sound, i guess. KOTORFans Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Mad Capsule Markets? I love 'em. Might not be Industrial though.
CoM_Solaufein Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Fear Factory (great band) and NiN are the inly industrial bands I listen to. I stick with heavy metal and all of it's sublabels, goth/death/dark wave/thrash/black/etc. War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is StrengthBaldur's Gate moddingTeamBGBaldur's Gate modder/community leaderBaldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition beta testerBaldur's Gate 2 - Enhanced Edition beta tester Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition beta tester
Meshugger Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Come to think of it, how about Ministry? roshan Posted February 10, 2006 Author Posted February 10, 2006 Yeah, ministry is industrial, and so is static x.
