Judge Hades Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 The Graphics card I am running with is an X700 Pro with 256mb DDR VRAM.
Gabrielle Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Okay, I found Bloodlines in the bargin bin and now I am installing. I will be playing it soon enough. Got it and Septerra Core at $10 each. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> $10??? And I spent $39 for mine. But it was a Best Buy special that came with a soundtrack cd.
Judge Hades Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 It was the Post Christmas sale done early. Hey, does anyone know any good modsites for Bloodlines?
Haitoku Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 (edited) It was the Post Christmas sale done early. Hey, does anyone know any good modsites for Bloodlines? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There aren't many. There is this Pen & Paper mod floating around. It's a lot of rubish in my opinion though... Makes the hole game seem unbalanced. Edited December 24, 2005 by Haitoku
Gabrielle Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 I don't have any mods nor do I know where there are any at, but you should play the game as is first.
Judge Hades Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 i always do but you should always planfor the future.
Gabrielle Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 I was just browsing PlanetVampires forums, you might want to give that a look over for mods.
Judge Hades Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 So do most games nowadays. Anyway back to the grind. There are a few glitches here and there, but nothing game stopping. I do like this game... so far.

Haitoku Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Don't bother with any of the unofficial patches... They mess up Chinatown. I had to reinstall the game because of it.
Yst Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Yep, as far as I can tell, the fanmade 1.8 and 1.9 patches create more problems than they fix at present. Which is a problem that's been growing ever since the earliest unofficial patches, as more and more gets changed and added. Which is why I play with just the official 1.2. At least the bugs that can still happen under 1.2 (e.g., the barred door in the kuei jin temple sometimes requires a noclip to get past) are known and easily bypassed, if they do happen. But in my last playthrough, I experienced no game-stopping bugs whatsoever under 1.2, so it wasn't even a matter of lesser evils.
WITHTEETH Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 I haven't had a single problem with 1.9 so far. i about 1/3 through China town so we'll see i guess. I'm really dissapointed in the memory leak though.... Always outnumbered, never out gunned! Unreal Tournament 2004 Handle:Enlight_2.0 Myspace Website! My rig
Gabrielle Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Damn it make up your minds everyone. Are the fan made patches good or not? I keep hearing that they fix problems others say it creates more.
Surreptishus Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 The fan patches dont fix any bugs or code problems, they just make superficial changes. You can see the list of bugfixes and judge for yourself whether it is worth it.
Atreides Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Is there any way to fix the memory leak? Spreading beauty with my katana.

Surreptishus Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 The game was rushed... and then troika shut down.
Judge Hades Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 With the glitches I had to deal with so far this is the best troika game I have played.
Pidesco Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Is Bloodlines buggier than Arcanum? "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. SteveThaiBinh Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Is Bloodlines buggier than Arcanum? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Neither game is buggy once you've installed all the available patches. The problem with Bloodlines is that many (though not all) players experience very low framerates, stuttering sound and other issues on systems that can handle visually similar games without a problem. And the 'minimum system requirements', more than in most games, is verging on the dishonest. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
