December 24, 200520 yr Okay, I found Bloodlines in the bargin bin and now I am installing. I will be playing it soon enough. Got it and Septerra Core at $10 each. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> $10??? And I spent $39 for mine. But it was a Best Buy special that came with a soundtrack cd.
December 24, 200520 yr It was the Post Christmas sale done early. Hey, does anyone know any good modsites for Bloodlines?
December 24, 200520 yr It was the Post Christmas sale done early. Hey, does anyone know any good modsites for Bloodlines? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There aren't many. There is this Pen & Paper mod floating around. It's a lot of rubish in my opinion though... Makes the hole game seem unbalanced. Edited December 24, 200520 yr by Haitoku
December 24, 200520 yr I don't have any mods nor do I know where there are any at, but you should play the game as is first.
December 24, 200520 yr I was just browsing PlanetVampires forums, you might want to give that a look over for mods.
December 24, 200520 yr So do most games nowadays. Anyway back to the grind. There are a few glitches here and there, but nothing game stopping. I do like this game... so far.

December 24, 200520 yr Don't bother with any of the unofficial patches... They mess up Chinatown. I had to reinstall the game because of it.
December 24, 200520 yr Yep, as far as I can tell, the fanmade 1.8 and 1.9 patches create more problems than they fix at present. Which is a problem that's been growing ever since the earliest unofficial patches, as more and more gets changed and added. Which is why I play with just the official 1.2. At least the bugs that can still happen under 1.2 (e.g., the barred door in the kuei jin temple sometimes requires a noclip to get past) are known and easily bypassed, if they do happen. But in my last playthrough, I experienced no game-stopping bugs whatsoever under 1.2, so it wasn't even a matter of lesser evils.
December 24, 200520 yr I haven't had a single problem with 1.9 so far. i about 1/3 through China town so we'll see i guess. I'm really dissapointed in the memory leak though.... Always outnumbered, never out gunned! Unreal Tournament 2004 Handle:Enlight_2.0 Myspace Website! My rig
December 24, 200520 yr Damn it make up your minds everyone. Are the fan made patches good or not? I keep hearing that they fix problems others say it creates more.
December 25, 200520 yr The fan patches dont fix any bugs or code problems, they just make superficial changes. You can see the list of bugfixes and judge for yourself whether it is worth it.
December 25, 200520 yr Is there any way to fix the memory leak? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It'd be nice if a few Troika employees would just...I don't know, take some time out of their busy schedules, in the spirit of the season of course, to make a few amendments to their code...and distribute said modifications through some third party websites... December 25, 200520 yr With the glitches I had to deal with so far this is the best troika game I have played.
December 25, 200520 yr Is Bloodlines buggier than Arcanum? "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands. Heja Sverige!! Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
December 25, 200520 yr Is Bloodlines buggier than Arcanum? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Neither game is buggy once you've installed all the available patches. The problem with Bloodlines is that many (though not all) players experience very low framerates, stuttering sound and other issues on systems that can handle visually similar games without a problem. And the 'minimum system requirements', more than in most games, is verging on the dishonest. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
