Lucas needs to keep his damn hands off the originals unless he is going to put in cut scenes. I really don't care for alterations of the film by adding in crap or taking stuff out.

Yes, I feel this sheds new light on things as Petterson shot palme BEFORE the re-editing of the scene with Han and Greedo but AFTER the original film premiered in 1977.

Why can't Lucas just release the old films, untouched, along side the edited ones?

He created the universe there for he has all rights to make revisions as he sees fit....

Nobody shot anybody. Greedo doesn't exist, he's a man in a green suit. The guns don't actually fire laser beams, they're just prop models.
