T'hen Malosk Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 OK, I get Guardians, more focused on lightsaber usage rather than Force. I also get Consulars, more focused on using Force to kill opponents. So my question is, where do Sentinels stand in all of this?

T'hen Malosk Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 OK, that clears things up a lot, thanks.

More dialogue options. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)

hawk Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 And when you pick a prestige class. I think that the Consular is best mixed with a Weapons Master / Sith Marauder. Then you have a perfect combination of both lightsaber combat and force powers. Other good combinations: Guardian - Assasin / Watchman. Sentinel - Weaponsmaster / Marauder. Sentinel - Jedi Master / Sith Lord. In my next game maybe i'll do Guardian / Jedi Master. Anyone got any experience with this build? Master Vandar lives!
CoM_Solaufein Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Sentinals I like, they're the jack of all trades Jedi. They are decent with lightsabers, feats and they get more skills than guardian. BattleCookiee Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Sentinels are undeniable the best Jedi type of KOTOR2... They get about the same amount of feats as Guardians, so no loss Most skill points of all classes (major plus in kotor2) Even guardians get enough FP and powers to spam massive Force Attacks, Sentinels get even more FP...
T'hen Malosk Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 Wow, I always thought of Sentinels as lower in everything compared to Guardians and Consulars, now I know how good they are, thanks everyone!
Unabomber Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 In my next game maybe i'll do Guardian / Jedi Master. Anyone got any experience with this build? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Works quite nicely. You'll get a good number of feats initially, and after you switch, your Force powers will catch up. The only "weakness" is the lack of skill points, but if your INT is decent, this should compensate. Just about any combination will work out well in this game; it's simply a matter of how you play the character (e.g. don't try to spam Force Lightning as a low-WIS, low-CHR light side guardian / weaponsmaster).
Krookie Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I don't really worry about skill points. With NPCs like Bao and T3, I just let them upgrade all my weapons, armor, and whatever.
metadigital Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I didn't bother taking a prestige class last time I played, until I got to about level 31. (Seems there are better stats for the non-prestige classes ...) OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT

BattleCookiee Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 A lot of feats dissapear from selection when getting a prestige class (All Skill Feats, The +x to all saves, Health Regen etc.)

Gabrielle Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I like Sentinels because of what people have already said. I tried guardian once, they get a decent amount of feats but their skill level sucks.
Krookie Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 I find it boring to play as a Guardian...you just get 'to' powerful, and the game gets boring.
metadigital Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Guardians are strong initially. My Sentinel was able to kill Traya and her band of dancing scimitars in about three rounds, total (which ended up being about one round faster than the Guardian "). Krookie Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 My cousins found probably the best way to defeat her. You just throw those sticky gernades when your next to her and she can't use her force powers. Then you just hack at her.
